This year’s Nattjazz in Bergen is just round the corner and as always, their program is packed with great stuff. My band will be playing on the opening day (May 23rd), and the festival has given me carte blanche to bring along the musicians of my choice. That means: Eyolf Dale – piano, Sondre Meisfjord – bass (subing for Jo Skaansar), Per Oddvar Johansen – drums, and not the least Tore Brunborg on saxophone. We’ll be playing in the beautiful surroundings of Korskirken at 1100 at night, I’m looking forward to a special experience.
If you can’t make it, don’t worry – there’s lot’s of other great stuff to see. If I wasn’t leaving straight after the gig, I’d definitely go and see: 1982 w/BJ Cole, Steinar Raknes Still House, Esperanza Spalding, Moskus, Friends & Neighbours, Jonas Alaska, Østergaard Art Quartet, Håkon Kornstad Tenor Battle, Hanna Paulsberg Concept, Ståle Storløken Solo, Livingroom m/Koichi Makigami, Motorpsycho m/Ståle Storløkken, The Bad Plus, Ine Hoem and not the least, Kenneth Kapstad’s project Grand General. See you in Bergen!
